Using simple fade in/fade out effects are clean and don't detract from the image being seen. Basically, keyframing is the core of animation.Īnimated titles aren't for every project.

Learning how to keyframe will enable you to go from one program to another. Here is a video that will explain what and how to use keyframing. Are you talking about After Effects type animation, or basic simple animation? No matter which advanced titler you use, you will need to know how to do keyframing. To use all of the modules within Vistitle, the learning curve would be along the lines of TP7 Ultimate.įirst off, you have to decide what 'animation' means to you. To do basic titles and animation in Vistitle, I would place the learning curve at Heroglyph 4.0 levels. Titler Pro 5 would be next, Heroglyph 4.0, and then TP 7 Ultimate. The titler's with more capabilities will always have a steeper learning curve. You will have a learning curve on any titler. Just to be clear, the titler is not an OFX based titler.

It is a bridge between the native Edius effects flow and the OFX based effects. One is for the bridge and the other is for the titler.

Your download of the OFX bridge has two installers that install as one. I put the pricing at the bottom of the last post.

Vistitle is $299, and the optional plugin pack is $99.ĭownload a trial for each and try them for yourself. New Blue TP7 is $299, TP7 Ultimate is $499. Price wise, TP5 for Edius 9 has the best ee. I explain this and a few other items here:Īlso, TP5/7 will work better with a more powerful CPU/GPU combination. The point being, if you do not save a master file outside of Edius and then remove the title from the timeline or bin, it will be lost. TP7 asks to save changes and then opens a panel so that you may save a master. TP5 only asks to save changes to the file. How this works is in TP5 you will need to manually save a master file to a location of your choice. New Blue Titler Pro 5 and 7 stores the title file outside of Edius and does not apply it to the bin. H4.0 has the best Handwriting feature of the titlers. It will also automatically add the title to the bin. This means it will store the title file master outside of Edius. Vistitle is not only a titler but it is a 3D modeler, animated chart maker, and particle creator. However, once you learn Vistitle, templates can easily be made in any style you want. Vistitle doesn't have as modern presets as TP 5/7. Of the three, Vistitle is the only one that manages the files in the same fashion as Quick Titler. The three native plugins are Heroglyph 4.0, New Blue FX Titler Pro 7(Edius 9 users get a scaled down TP5 version for free), and Vistitle 2.8.5.0. There is also an OFX titler in the Boris Continuum package.

You would need one of the 3 Edius native plugin titlers to do animated titles.
